The 4 play-in games are disregarded.  As the tournament games are completed, points are awarded for each correct pick.  The points awarded for a correct pick are calculated by multiplying the points awarded for a correct pick in that round and the points awarded for the seed of the winning team.  This is to appropriately reward the correct selection of upset picks. Point multiplier based on the round of a correct pick: Round #1 : 1 point Round #2 : 2 points Regional Semi : 4 points Regional Final: 6 points Tourney Semi : 8 points Tourney Final : 12 points Point multiplier based on the seed of the winning team: # 1 seed: 1 point # 5 seed: 2 points #10 seed: 3 points #13 seed: 4 points # 2 seed: 1 point # 6 seed: 2 points #11 seed: 3 points #14 seed: 4 points # 3 seed: 1 point # 7 seed: 2 points #12 seed: 3 points #15 seed: 4 points # 4 seed: 1 point # 8 seed: 2 points     #16 seed: 4 points     # 9 seed: 2 points         Winners: The contestant with the most total points at the end of the tournament wins the pool. In total, 5 winners will be recognized. First Place: 50% of the glory Second Place: 30% of the glory Third Place: 10% of the glory Fourth Place: 5% of the glory Fifth Place: 5% of the glory Tiebreakers: In the event of a tie, the contestant with a correct pick in the championship game wins. If still tied, the contestant with the most correct picks in the semi-final round wins, and so on until the tie is broken.
